The 5-day training module will take place from the 13th. to the 17th. of December 2015 in Erbil, Iraq. This course is primarily aimed at ICT personnel with a telecommunications focus, from WFP, UN Agencies, NGOs and Stand-by Partners; other organizations in the humanitarian sector are also
welcome to apply.
Participants need to have a technical background in VHF/UHF radio communications and be available for deployment in this type of role with WFP or their respective organizations.
At this time, all training materials including the assessment are in English only, and given the technical nature of the content, students must have strong English skills to successfully complete the course.
The cost for the Let’s Comm Digital training will be funded by the ETC, however, participants’ flights, DSA, accommodation and food are to be covered by their organization.
Please follow this link to the ETC Emergency Telecommunications Cluster website where you will find further details related to: cost, training prerequisites and instructions on how to apply.
Cost: Travel and accommodation costs should be covered by your organisation. Course costs will be covered by the host agency.
